ECO4 focuses on providing essential support to those who need it most, ensuring that families can access affordable energy solutions while also contributing to the nation’s broader goals of sustainability and energy conservation.
By improving energy efficiency, the program not only helps lower utility bills but also promotes a greener future, benefiting both the economy and the environment.
Through this initiative, the government is committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of many, fostering a society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Since 2013, the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) has played a vital role in the UK government's strategy to reduce fuel consumption and improve energy efficiency in homes. Currently, we are in Phase 4 of ECO, which began in April 2022.
ECO requires major energy suppliers to achieve significant carbon reductions by enhancing household energy efficiency. Eligibility criteria set by Ofgem may change, so if you didn’t qualify in Phase 3, you might be eligible for Phase 4.
